WHO AM I?!
My name is Lyubo Kirov and the journey into the world of editing began when I was just 16. The summer between 8th and 9th grade, my best friend and I decided to create a documentary about Sofia. I wrote the screenplay, chose the locations, and we shot it all in just a few days. Although I was still experimenting with editing techniques, I spent the entire summer fine-tuning it, and by the end, our documentary was 55 minutes long—a labor of love that sparked a lifelong passion for editing.

In 2011, I officially dove into the professional world of editing. Over the next eight years, I worked across some of Bulgaria’s biggest TV productions, including "Your Face Sounds Familiar" (8 seasons), "X Factor" (4 seasons), "Bulgaria’s Got Talent" (1 season), and countless promos and other shows.
In 2013, I co-founded a production company called "Crystal Frame". Together with my partner, we produced several short films, some of which left a lasting impact on the industry. Films like "Timmy" and "Shooting Star" earned nominations, graced international festivals, and garnered awards. It was the beginning of something truly special.
As my passion for editing continued to grow, I knew I had to take the next step. In 2019, I founded my own postproduction studio "Blacknova". From there, I ventured into new territories - commercials, TV series, and feature films. My editing experience expanded across over 70 episodes in three different TV series, along with commercials for major brands like PUMA, Kinder, L'Oréal, Olympus, and Olmeca Altos. I also had the privilege of working on two feature documentaries - "Do Marius i Nazad" and "Zaedno", as well as assisting on "In the Heart of the Machine" and assembling the cut for "It Goes on All Fours".
Each project I take on is more than just work; it’s a chance to tell stories, push boundaries, and create something unforgettable. My journey as an editor continues, and I can’t wait to see where this passion takes me next.
It's all about moving pictures.
